What is the best way to approach Practice?

Practice is something I constantly reconstruct. Theres something i learned from a teacher when i was younger and that was Practice dosent make perfect. Perfect Practice makes perfect. Below Im Listing a Couple Article Phrases from some of my most influencial influences. I hope they can help you as much as they helped me.

Practice Makes Perfect

I Would Like to Give Credit to John Petrucci for this insight of Wisdom.

Of all the things that can frustrate a guitarist, perhaps the worst is the nagging feeling that he's not reaching a certail level of proficiency as quickly as he should. If you are one of those players who plays for hours on end yet dosen't see the desired results. This is for you. Its all about the most overlooked aspect of guitar playing: practicing.

Before you can start a Practice regimen, you have to be aware that the study of music is a lifelong process-it's a descipline. And the key to mastering any discipline is consistancy. It's Much Better to play guitar for half an hour a day, every day, than not practice for a week then jam for five hours one day.

Getting the most out of your practicing regimen depends on not only the quantity, But also the quality of the time you put in. If you practice in a focused, concentrated manner and make efficent use of your time, you will progress a alot faster than if you were to use the same time noodling without any specific goal or direction. That's not to say that you're guarenteed to get good with putting in alot of time-that just wont happen. But if you apply yourself to the work and use your time efficiently you'll see very gratifying results-you'll retain a alot more information and bolster your technique.
